Condensation Water Drain Hose

Removal

- Remove the instrument panel cover on the driver side or the glove compartment..

- Carefully press the floor covering to the side and cover in the area under the condensation water drain hose with fluid-impermeable foil and absorbent paper.

- Remove the condensation water hose - 4 - at the A/C unit - 3 - and at the bracket - 1 -.






- Release the retaining detent - 2 - toward the inside and remove the bracket.

Installation






Installation is done is reverse order, observe the following:

- Install the bracket - A - in the condensation water drain hose - B -.

• The bracket must be seated evenly in the condensation water drain hose.

- Insert the bracket with the condensation water drain hose until it engages audibly in the body cut-out - C -.

• The condensation water drain must be seated correctly on the bracket and be in contact with the body with pretension.

- If the pretension is insufficient, seal the connecting area between the body and bracket with silicone adhesive sealant, for example. Refer to Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).

• Install the condensation water drain hose so that it is not twisted or crushed.

• Make sure the floor covering does not push up against the condensation water drain hose during installation.

• If a condensation water drain hose fits too loosely on the A/C unit connector, secure it with a hose clamp, for example. Hose clamp refer to Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).
