Replacing a Socket Housing for Left or Right Rear Light (Up To 09/06)

63 21 055 - Replacing a socket housing for left or right rear light (up to 09/06)





Warning!
Follow instructions for handling light bulbs (exterior lights) Instructions for Handling Light Bulbs (Exterior Lights).





Side panel:

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove flap in luggage compartment panel Removing and Installing/Replacing Flap In Luggage Compartment Trim, Left or Right





Disconnect plug connection (1).
Fold back side panel (2) in direction of arrow.





Unlock catch (1) and remove socket housing for rear light (2) in direction of arrow from rear light (3).
Remove bulbs Replacing Bulb(s) for Left or Right Rear Light (Side Panel) (Up To 09/06).





Installation Note:
Insert socket housing for rear light (1) in rear light (2) is such a way that retaining hook (3) engages associated locator (4).
Make sure socket housing (1) is correctly engaged on rear light (2).





Rear lid:

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove panel for rear lid





Turn socket housing for rear light to be replaced counterclockwise and remove.

Note:
1. Socket housing for fog warning lamp
2. Socket housing for reversing light

Remove bulbs Replacing Bulb(s) for Left or Right Rear Light (Rear Lid) (Up To 09/06).

Installation Note:
Make sure socket housing for rear light is correctly seated and engaged on rear light.
