51 45 360 - Removing and installing/replacing wood trim on left





Special tools required:
- 00 9 321 00 9 310 Assembly Wedges (Set in Plastic Case)





Remove Removing and Installing/Replacing Left Fresh Air Grill (Automatic A/C High) left fresh-air grill.

Remove instrument cluster trim. This task is described 51 45 363 - Removing and installing/replacing center wood trim on instrument panel in the section "Removing center wood trim on instrument panel".





Release nut (1).

Installation:
Tightening torque, 51 45 2AZ 51 45 Trim, Instrument Panel.





Release screw (1).

With special tool 00 9 321 00 9 310 Assembly Wedges (Set in Plastic Case) (fishbone) through opening for fresh air grill, unclip wood trim (3) next to retaining pin (2).

Remove wood trim (3) in direction of arrow.





Installation:
Following parts of wood trim (4) must not be damaged or missing:

1 - Shaft
2 - Speed nut
3 - Stud





Installation:
If necessary, replace damaged clip (1) (Hutfix).





Replacing clip (Hutfix):

A - Turn clip (1) with screwdriver to left by approx. 60°.
B - Lever out clip (1) from below.





Installation:
A - Insert clip (1) from above and snap into place at bottom.
Then turn clip (1) with screwdriver to right by approx. 60°.
B - Clip (1) in end position.
