Power Brake Booster Auxiliary Pump Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement Intake Manifold Cover Replacement.

2. Release the power brake booster auxiliary pump hose quick connect (1).

3. Disconnect the power brake booster auxiliary pump electrical connector.





4. Remove the power brake booster auxiliary pump bracket M6 bolt (1).

5. Remove the power brake booster auxiliary pump bracket M12 bolt (2).

6. Remove the power brake booster auxiliary pump from the engine.





7. Remove the power brake booster auxiliary pump bolts (1) and nuts (2).





8. Remove the power brake booster auxiliary pump insulator sleeves (1).

9. Remove the power brake booster auxiliary pump insulators (2).

10. Release the power brake booster auxiliary pump electrical harness connector (3) from the bracket and remove the pump.

Installation Procedure





1. Assemble the power brake booster auxiliary pump sleeves (1) to the insulators (2).

2. Install the power brake booster auxiliary pump insulators.

3. Position the power brake booster auxiliary pump to the bracket and secure the electrical harness connector (3).





Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

4. Install the power brake booster auxiliary pump bolts (1) and nuts (2) and tighten the bolts to 22 Nm (16 lb ft).





5. Install the power brake booster auxiliary pump assembly to the engine.

6. Install the power brake booster auxiliary pump bracket M6 bolt (1) and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

7. Install the power brake booster auxiliary pump bracket M12 bolt (2) and tighten to 70 Nm (52 lb ft).





8. Install the power brake booster auxiliary pump hose quick connect (1).

9. Connect the power brake booster auxiliary pump electrical connector.

10. Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement Intake Manifold Cover Replacement.
