Instrument Panel Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side (Upper Monte Carlo)

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the access cover from the right instrument panel (IP) fuse block.
2. Remove the screw from the right end of the right upper IP trim plate.




3. Adjust the IP cluster trim plate bezel in order to remove the screw from the left end of the right upper trim plate. 4. Remove the right lower IP trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side (Upper Monte Carlo) Instrument Panel Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side (Lower Monte Carlo) (Instrument Panel (IP) - Trim Panel Replacement - Lower Right).




5. Remove the screw from the lower right end of the right upper IP trim plate.




6. Remove the right upper IP trim plate starting at the upper right and center of the trim plate. Pull rearward and work to the left in order to release the retainers from the instrument panel.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the right upper IP trim plate retainers to the slots in the instrument panel.
2. Install the right upper IP trim plate into the instrument panel. Press the trim plate into place until fully seated.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the screw to the right end of the right upper IP trim plate.

Tighten the screw to 2 Nm (18 lb in).




4. Install the screw to the left end of the right upper IP trim plate.

Tighten the screw to 2 Nm (18 lb in).




5. Install the screw to the lower right end of the right upper IP trim plate.

Tighten the screw to 2 Nm (18 lb in).

6. Install the lower right IP trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side (Upper Monte Carlo) Instrument Panel Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side (Lower Monte Carlo) (Instrument Panel (IP) - Trim Panel Replacement - Lower Right).
7. Install access cover to the the right IP fuse block.
8. Install the IP cluster trim plate bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement (Impala) (Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) - Trim Plate Bezel Replacement)Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement (Monte Carlo) (Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) - Trim Plate Bezel Replacement).
