Clutch Concentric Actuator Cylinder Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the transaxle from the vehicle. Refer to Transmission Replacement D16 - Manual Transmission in Manual Transmission - D16 or Transmission Replacement D20 - Manual Transmission in Manual Transmission - D20.
2. Remove the concentric actuator cylinder retaining bolts.
3. Disconnect the concentric actuator cylinder pipe from the concentric actuator cylinder.
Important: When removing the bushing, do not remove it with excessive force.
4. Remove the bushing from the concentric actuator cylinder pipe in the transaxle housing.
5. Remove the concentric actuator cylinder pipe.
Important: For removal or installation, do not separate the oil seal fixing spring from the back side of the concentric actuator cylinder.
6. Remove the O-ring and the concentric actuator cylinder.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the concentric actuator cylinder and the pipe.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
2. After installing the pipe screw provisionally, tighten the concentric actuator cylinder retaining bolts.
Tighten the concentric actuator cylinder retaining bolts to 7 Nm (62 lb in).
3. Tighten the pipe screw.
Tighten the pipe screw to 15 Nm (11 lb ft).
4. Install the bushing onto the transaxle housing.
5. Connect the pipe with bushing.
6. Install the transaxle into the vehicle. Refer to Transmission Replacement D16 - Manual Transmission in Manual Transmission - D16 orTransmission Replacement D20 - Manual Transmission in Manual Transmission - D20.
