Drive Belt Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Ignition OFF.
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement.
3. Note the routing of the drive belt (1).
4. Using a suitable tool rotate the drive belt tensioner (2) clockwise to release the tension on the drive belt (1).
5. Remove the drive belt (1) from the crankshaft pulley (3).
6. Slowly release the drive belt tensioner (2).
7. Remove the drive belt (1) from the engine.
Installation Procedure
1. Install and correctly route the drive belt (1) around the following:
* Water pump pulley
* Generator
* Drive belt tensioner
* Crankshaft balancer
* Air conditioning compressor
* Power steering pump
2. Using a suitable tool rotate the drive belt tensioner (2) clockwise.
3. Install the drive belt (1) to the crankshaft pulley (3) and the drive belt tensioner (2).
Note:
Make sure the drive belt (1) is correctly aligned and seated into the grooves of the accessory drive pulleys.
4. Slowly release the drive belt tensioner (2).
5. Remove the suitable tool from the drive belt tensioner (2).
6. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement.
