Front Seat Adjuster Replacement
Removal Procedure
Warning:
Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning Battery Disconnect Warning.
Note:
The seat adjuster is not a serviceable item, if the adjuster requires replacement it must be replaced as a complete assembly.
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary).
Warning:
Refer to SIR Warning SIR Warning.
2. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Service and Repair.
3. Remove the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket Front Seat Replacement - Bucket.
4. Remove the outer trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement.
5. If required, remove the seat-belt buckle. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Belt Replacement (Fixed D Ring) Driver or Passenger Seat Belt Replacement (Fixed D Ring).
6. As required, detach the seat-belt pretensioner wiring harness connector.
7. Remove the four seat adjuster retaining nuts (2) attaching the seat adjuster assembly (1) to the seat cushion frame.
8. Remove the seat adjuster assembly (1).
9. As required, detach the electrical wiring harness connectors (1).
Installation Procedure
1. Install the seat adjuster assembly onto the seat cushion frame.
Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.
2. Install the four seat adjuster retaining nuts (2) attaching the seat adjuster assembly (1) to the seat cushion frame.
Tighten the retaining nuts to 28 Nm (21 lb ft).
3. Ensure seat-belt pretensioner wiring harness is routed as follows:
* Route pretensioner cable under cable tray tabs (1)
* Direct pretensioner cable through cable tray gap (2)
* Clip to under side of cable tray in the top hole (3)
4. As required, attach the seat-belt pretensioner wiring harness connector.
5. As required, attach the electrical wiring harness connectors (1).
6. If required, install the seat-belt buckle. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Belt Replacement (Fixed D Ring) Driver or Passenger Seat Belt Replacement (Fixed D Ring).
7. Install the outer trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement.
8. Install the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket Front Seat Replacement - Bucket.

9. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Service and Repair.
10. Connect the battery ground cable to the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary).
11. Test the seat for correct mechanical and electrical operation.
