Fuse Block: Service and Repair

Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary).





2. Release the underhood body electrical centre cover retaining clips (1).

3. Remove the underhood body electrical centre cover (2).

4. Detach the battery positive cable cover (3).





5. Remove the battery positive cable to upper underhood body electrical centre retaining nut (3).

6. Loosen the upper underhood body electrical centre to lower underhood body electrical centre retaining bolts (2).

7. Release the upper underhood body electrical centre retaining clips (1).

8. Remove the upper underhood body electrical centre (4).





9. Release the wiring harness retaining clip (3) to allow movement of the wiring harness (2).

10. Reposition the underhood body electrical centre electrical connectors (1) to gain access to the lower underhood body electrical centre.





11. Remove the lower underhood body electrical centre to body retaining nuts (1).

12. Remove the lower underhood body electrical centre (2).

Installation Procedure





1. Install the lower underhood body electrical centre (2).

2. Install the lower underhood body electrical centre to body retaining nuts (1).





3. Reposition the underhood body electrical centre electrical connectors (1) into the lower underhood body electrical centre.

Note:
Ensure that the wiring harness (2) is routed correctly.

4. Attach the wiring harness retaining clip (3).





Note:
Ensure that the upper underhood body electrical centre retaining clips (1) are located correctly.

5. Install the upper underhood body electrical centre (4).

6. Tighten the upper underhood body electrical centre to lower underhood body electrical centre retaining bolts (2).

7. Tighten the battery positive cable to upper underhood body electrical centre retaining nut (3).





Note:
Ensure the underhood body electrical centre cover retaining clips (1) are located correctly.

8. Install the underhood body electrical centre cover (2).

9. Reposition the battery positive cable cover (3).

10. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary).
