Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Regular Roof)
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the coat hooks and screws.
2. Remove the side rear trim panels (1).
3. Remove the dome lamp lens.
4. Remove the dome lamp housing and bezel.
5. Remove the seat belt guide bolt and the seat belt guide. Refer to Seat Replacement (Two-Passenger Seat) Seat Replacement (Two-Passenger Seat)Seat Replacement (Three-Passenger Seat) Seat Replacement (Three-Passenger Seat)Seat Replacement (Bucket Seat) Seat Replacement (Bucket Seat) in Seats.
6. Remove the rear window garnish moldings. Refer to Rear Window Garnish Molding Replacement (Base Trim) Rear Window Garnish Molding Replacement (Base Trim)Rear Window Garnish Molding Replacement (Up-Level Trim) Rear Window Garnish Molding Replacement (Up-Level Trim) in Stationary Windows.
7. Remove the rear speaker grilles by prying them up. Refer to Speaker Replacement (Front) Speaker Replacement (Front)Speaker Replacement (Rear) Speaker Replacement (Rear) in Entertainment.
8. Remove the windshield side garnish molding (1).
9. Remove the three screws retaining each sunshade.
10. Remove the sunshades.
11. Remove the headliner (1) as follows:
1. Grasp the panel on the left and right sides near the front of the cab.
2. Disengage the front of the panel from the roof. The panel attaches with hook-and-loop fasteners.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the headliner (1) as follows:
1. With the aid of an assistant, lift the panel and attach the front end of the headliner first.
2. Tape the rear of the panel to the roof until the moldings are installed.
2. Install the sunshades with three screws each.
3. Install the windshield side garnish molding (1) by pressing the retainers into the pillar.
4. Install the rear speaker grilles. Refer to Speaker Replacement (Front) Speaker Replacement (Front)Speaker Replacement (Rear) Speaker Replacement (Rear) in Entertainment.
5. Remove the tape from the headliner.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
6. Install the rear window upper molding.
Tighten the 2 rear window upper molding screws to 2 Nm (18 lb in).
7. Install the dome lamp housing and bezel.
Tighten the 2 dome lamp housing and bezel screws to 2 Nm (18 lb in).
8. Install the dome lamp lens.
9. Install the right and left side rear trim panels (1).
Tighten the 3 right and left side rear trim panel screws to 3 Nm (27 lb in).
10. Install the seat belt guide and the seat belt guide bolt. Refer to Seat Replacement (Two-Passenger Seat) Seat Replacement (Two-Passenger Seat)Seat Replacement (Three-Passenger Seat) Seat Replacement (Three-Passenger Seat)Seat Replacement (Bucket Seat) Seat Replacement (Bucket Seat) in Seats.
11. Install the coat hooks and screws.
12. Install the rear window lower molding. Refer to Rear Window Garnish Molding Replacement (Base Trim) Rear Window Garnish Molding Replacement (Base Trim)Rear Window Garnish Molding Replacement (Up-Level Trim) Rear Window Garnish Molding Replacement (Up-Level Trim) in Stationary Windows.
