Blower Motor Resistor Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the instrument panel storage compartment through the instrument panel opening. Refer to Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement Service and Repair in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
2. The resistor is installed on top of the heater case.
3. Remove the electrical connections.
4. Remove the blower motor resistor screws.
5. Remove the blower motor resistor.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Do not allow the resistor coils to touch. Improper operation or damage to the vehicle may result.
1. Install the blower motor resistor.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
2. Install the blower motor resistor screws.
Tighten the blower motor resistor screws to 1 Nm (9 lb in).
3. Connect the electrical connections.
4. Install the instrument panel compartment.
