A Preliminary Information

IMPORTANT: Review the system operation in order to familiarize yourself with the system functions.
^ Refer to Instrument Cluster Circuit Description.
^ Refer to Audible Warnings Circuit Description.

Visual/Physical Inspection
^ Inspect for aftermarket devices which could affect the operation of the instrument panel and gauges system or the audible warnings system. Refer to Checking Aftermarket Accessories in Diagrams. Diagnostic Aids
^ Inspect the easily accessible or visible system components for obvious damage or conditions which could cause the symptom.
^ Inspect the interior/exterior lighting system and seat belt indicator for normal operation.
^ Check all engine fluids for proper fill levels.
^ Be sure that there are no other DTCs set which may affect the operation of the instrument panel and gauges system or the audible warnings system.

Intermittent
Faulty electrical connections or wiring may be the cause of intermittent conditions. Refer to Testing for Intermittent and Poor Connections in Diagrams.

^ Turn Signal Indicator Inoperative - Left

^ Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge Always Cold
^ Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge Always Hot
^ Engine Coolant Temperature Gage Inaccurate or Inoperative
^ Engine Oil Pressure Indicator Always On
^ Engine Oil Pressure Indicator Inoperative
^ Fuel Gauge Always Indicates Empty
^ Fuel Gauge Always Indicates Full
^ Fuel Gage Inaccurate or Inoperative
^ Gages Inoperative - All
