Audible Warnings Description and Operation
Audible Warnings Description and Operation
The audible warning system is controlled by the seat belt alarm or the multifunction alarm module (MFAM). The seat belt alarm or the MFAM will produce an audible warning in order to alert the driver of a system concern or a critical vehicle condition.
Fasten Safety Belt Warning
The seat belt alarm incorporates the fasten safety belt indicator in the DIC. The indicator lamp is an electronically timed reminder. The fasten safety belt indicator will illuminate for approximately 8 seconds and the fasten safety belt audible warning will be activated, when the ignition switch transitions to ON.
Lights On Chime
The lights on audible warning activates when the headlamp switch is in the HEAD or PARK position and the ignition is OFF. The seat belt alarm activates the audible warning when the following occurs:
* The ignition is OFF.
* The headlamp or the park lamp switch input is active.
The audible warning activates until the headlamp switch is placed in the OFF position.
