Horn Switch Replacement - On Vehicle

Removal Procedure





Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Replacement Removal and Replacement in Engine Electrical.
2. Use the following steps in order to remove the switch pad (3) assembly from the horn:

1. Pry up the switch assembly at the upper edge of the pad.
2. Pull off the switch pad assembly.

3. Disconnect the positive horn switch lead (2) and the ground lead (4) from the horn pad (3).




4. Disconnect the relay lead (1) if necessary.

Installation Procedure




1. Connect the relay lead (1) if necessary.




2. Connect the positive horn switch lead (2) and the ground lead (4) to the horn pad (3).
3. Push the horn switch pad assembly (3) onto the steering wheel (1).
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
