Conditions for Running the DTC

The ignition is ON.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

* Open in the control circuit of the accessory inflator valve.
* Short to ground in the control circuit of the accessory inflator valve.
* A malfunctioning accessory inflator valve.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

* The automatic level control sensor disables inflator functions.
* Leveling functions shall continue.
* A malfunctioning accessory inflator valve.

Circuit/System Verification

Verify that automatic level control functions are disabled.

Circuit/System Testing

1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the accessory inflator valve harness connector at the automatic level control sensor.
2. Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the accessory inflator valve B+ circuit and ground.

If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, test or replace the automatic level control sensor.

3. Ignition ON, connect a test lamp between the accessory inflator valve control circuit and the B+ circuit of the accessory inflator valve. Command the accessory inflator valve ON and OFF.

If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the control circuit for a short to ground or open. If the circuit tests normal, test or replace the automatic level control sensor.
If the test lamp illuminates, test or replace the accessory inflator valve.

4. If all circuits test normal, test or replace the automatic level control sensor.

Repair Instructions

Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification (Verification Tests) after completing the diagnostic procedure.

Important: System untested code will continue to flash until self test has been completed after the automatic level control sensor replacement.
