Stabilizer Bar: Service and Repair
Stabilizer Shaft Replacement (with Rear Twist Axle)
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the left front tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the left and right stabilizer shaft link lower nut (3).
4. Remove the stabilizer shaft link (2) from the stabilizer shaft.
5. Remove the left and right stabilizer shaft insulators and brackets. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Insulator Replacement (Service and Repair).
6. Remove the stabilizer shaft from the left side of the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install stabilizer shaft going in through left side of vehicle.
2. Install the left and right stabilizer shaft insulators and brackets. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Insulator Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Install the left and right stabilizer shaft links to the stabilizer shaft.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice).
4. Install the stabilizer shaft link nuts.
Tighten the nut to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).
5. Install the left front tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Service and Repair).
6. Lower the vehicle.
