Torque Converter Cover Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).




2. Remove the transaxle brace (4). Refer to Transmission Brace Replacement (Front Wheel Drive) (Transmission Brace Replacement (Front Wheel Drive)).




3. Remove the torque converter cover bolts.
4. Remove the torque converter cover.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the torque converter cover.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice).

2. Install the torque converter cover bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




3. Install the transaxle brace (4). Refer to Transmission Brace Replacement (Front Wheel Drive) (Transmission Brace Replacement (Front Wheel Drive)).
4. Lower the vehicle.
