Flywheel to Torque Converter Bolt Replacement
Special Tools
* J-37096 - Flywheel Holder
* J-37623 - 10 1/2 Inch Pinion Bearing Remover
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.
2. Remove the torque converter cover. Refer to Torque Converter Cover Replacement Service and Repair.
3. Use the J-37096 - Holder in order to rotate the flywheel and access the torque converter bolts.
4. Use the J-37096 - Holder to hold the flywheel.
5. Remove the flywheel to torque converter bolts.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the flywheel to torque converter bolts.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.
2. Use the J-37623 - Remover to hold the flywheel. Tighten the bolts to 63 Nm (47 lb ft).
3. Install the torque converter cover. Refer to Torque Converter Cover Replacement Service and Repair.
4. Lower the vehicle.
