Fan Shroud: Service and Repair

Engine Coolant Fan Shroud Replacement (LLV, LLR) (2.9L, 3.7L)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the radiator hose-outlet. Refer to Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LLV, LLR) (Radiator Hose) Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LH9) (Radiator Hose).




2. Release the differential vent hose retainer.
3. Release the A/C suction hose retainer.
4. Release the A/C discharge hose retainer.
5. Rotate the slip ring counterclockwise from under the fan shroud.
6. Remove the fan shroud (3).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the fan shroud (3) to the vehicle.
2. Rotate the slip ring to the original position.
3. Install the differential vent hose retainer.
4. Install the A/C suction hose retainer.
5. Install the A/C discharge hose retainer.
6. Install the radiator hose-outlet. Refer to Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LLV, LLR) (Radiator Hose) Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LH9) (Radiator Hose).
