DESCRIPTION

The HomeLink(R) transceiver for this vehicle is integral to the Remote Compass Module (RCM) and is sometimes referred to as an Electronic Overhead Module (EOM) located in the front overhead console. The only visible component of the HomeLink(R) transceiver are the three push buttons (4). The buttons are marked with one, two or three dots, respectively, for identification of each channel.





Each of the HomeLink(R) transceiver push buttons controls an independent radio transmitter channel. Each of these three channels can be trained to transmit a different radio frequency signal for the remote operation of garage door openers, motorized gate openers, home or office lighting, security systems or just about any other device that can be equipped with a radio receiver in the 286 to 399 Megahertz (MHz) frequency range for remote operation. The HomeLink(R) transceiver cannot be repaired, and is only available for service as part of the EOM. This unit includes the electronics and push button switches for the HomeLink(R) transceiver, the electronics for the Remote Compass Module (RCM) and the plastic module case.
