REMOVAL

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Loosen screw that holds shift indicator anchor bracket in place.
3. Remove shift indicator cable anchor by sliding to keyhole position.
4. Remove wire from rear of gearshift lever pulley.
5. Remove instrument cluster bezel retaining screws and the bezel, then remove cluster retaining screws.
6. Move gearshift lever to "1" position, then tilt cluster forward and disconnect electrical connectors.
7. Remove screws and instrument panel lower cover, then remove cluster.

INSTALLATION

1. Guide shift indicator wire into instrument panel and down to shift linkage.
2. Connect electrical connectors and install cluster with screws.
3. Loop shift indicator wire over pulley and install shift cable anchor onto screw.
4. Move gearshift lever to neutral position and check position of shift indicator. If pointer is not aligned with N on display, slide anchor until indicator is correct. Tighten screw and check for proper positioning of indicator in all positions.
5. Install bezel and instrument panel lower trim cover.
