Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.

Test L: No Auxiliary Headphone Audio - THX(R)

PINPOINT TEST L: NO AUXILIARY HEADPHONE AUDIO - THX(R)

Normal Operation
The audio control module (ACM) receives audio input from the rear entertainment module (RETM). The audio signals are then routed to the audio digital signal processing (DSP) module. In dual-play mode, the rear speaker audio is muted and the RETM controls the rear audio source to the headphones.

It is important to note that if the vehicle is equipped with the SYNC system, the headphones must be set to channel A in order to listen to SYNC media. Channel B only allows audio from the RETM, which can be either DVD audio or audio from a peripheral device plugged into the RETM.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Headphones
- RETM
