NOTE: One-touch open/close/vent operation can be cancelled anytime the shade panels or sliding glass is moving by activating the roof opening panel control switch or TILT control switch in either direction.

Roof Opening Panel Shade

The roof opening panel power shade is equipped with a one-touch open feature. When the roof opening panel control switch is pressed and released, the shade panels will automatically move to the full OPEN position. When the roof opening panel control switch is pulled and released, the shade panels will automatically close to the safety stop position (approximately 280 mm (11.023 in) from the fully CLOSED position). To fully close the shade panels from the safety stop position, pull and hold the roof opening panel control switch.

Roof Opening Sliding Glass Panel

The sliding glass panel has one-touch open, one-touch close and one-touch vent open features.

To operate the sliding glass panel to the VENT position, the sliding glass panel must first be in the CLOSED position. Press and release the TILT control switch. The shade panels will automatically move to the fully OPEN position (if shades are not already fully open) followed by the sliding glass panel moving to the VENT position. To close the sliding glass panel from the VENT position, pull and hold the TILT control switch.

To operate the sliding glass panel to the fully OPEN position, the shade panels must first be in the OPEN position. Press and release the roof opening panel control switch. The sliding glass panel will automatically open to the comfort position. Press and release the switch again, and the sliding glass will move to the fully OPEN position.

To operate the sliding glass panel to the fully CLOSED position, pull and release the roof opening panel control switch. The sliding glass panel will automatically close to the safety stop position (approximately 280 mm (11.023 in) from the fully CLOSED position). To fully close the sliding glass panel from the safety stop position, pull and hold the roof opening panel control switch.

If an obstacle contacts the leading edge of the sliding glass panel during one-touch close operation, the roof opening panel glass will reverse direction and open to approximately the mid position and stop. The operator cannot stop this open motion once it has begun.

Global Open - MKX only

NOTE: The global open feature may be enabled/disabled via scan tool or in some cases modified by the customer following a procedure listed in the vehicle Owner's Literature. For a complete list of available programmable parameters, refer to the Module Configuration and Parameter Chart in Information Bus. Principles of Operation

When the unlock button of the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter is held for 2 seconds, the global open activates. The Smart Junction Box (SJB) sends a signal to activate the one-touch vent operation of the roof opening panel. The global open feature does not operate if the delay accessory is active.
