Pinpoint Test A: All Power Windows Are Inoperative
Refer to Wiring Diagram Set 100, Power Windows for schematic and connector information. Diagrams By Number
Normal Operation
With the ignition switch in the RUN position, voltage is supplied to the LH and RH window control switches from the Central Junction Box (CJB) through circuit 15-AJ1 (GN/BU)/15-AJ7 (GN/BU). All window control switches share a common ground, circuit 31-DA8 (BK).
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Fuse
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
PINPOINT TEST A: ALL POWER WINDOWS ARE INOPERATIVE
NOTICE: Use the correct probe adapter(s) from the Flex Probe Kit when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.

A1 CHECK THE WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH POWER CIRCUIT
- Disconnect: LH Window Control Switch C3293A.
- Ignition ON.
- Measure the voltage between LH window control switch C3293A-2, circuit 15-AJ7 (GN/BU), harness side and ground.
- Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
Yes
REPAIR circuit 31-AJ7 (BK) for an open. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
VERIFY CJB fuse 166 (25A) is OK. If OK, REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
If not OK, REFER to the Wiring Diagrams to identify the possible causes of the circuit short. REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation. Diagrams By Number
