Normal Operations and Fault Conditions

When the BCM (Body Control Module) enters a key programming state, it activates the transceiver to read the key in the ignition. If a valid PATS (Passive Anti-Theft System) key is used and there are no concerns with the PATS (Passive Anti-Theft System) the key is programmed into the BCM (Body Control Module) memory.

Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-checks

- Inspect the PATS (Passive Anti-Theft System) key for damage.

- Verify the correct key is being used.
