Cooling System Flushing

General Procedure
1. Add cooling system flush to the cooling system and follow the directions on the package.
2. Drain the cooling system. REFER to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding.
3. Remove the radiator. REFER to Radiator - 3.5L Ti-VCT Service and Repair.
4. NOTICE: Radiator internal pressure must not exceed 137.9 kPa (20 psi), or the radiator can be damaged
Backflush the radiator with the radiator in an upside-down position with a high-pressure hose in the lower hose location and backflush.
5. Remove the thermostat. REFER to Thermostat - 3.5L Ti-VCT Service and Repair.
6. Position the high-pressure water hose into the engine through the upper radiator hose and backflush the engine.
7. Install the thermostat. REFER to Thermostat - 3.5L Ti-VCT Service and Repair.
8. Install the radiator. REFER to Radiator - 3.5L Ti-VCT Service and Repair.
9. Fill the cooling system. REFER to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding.
