Removal and Installation

1. Remove the cooling fan motor and shroud. For additional information, refer to Cooling Fan Motor and Shroud - 3.5L GTDI Service and Repair.

2. Remove the front bumper cover. For additional information, refer to Bumpers Service and Repair.

3. Disconnect the Turbocharger Boost Pressure (TCBP)/Charge Air Cooler Temperature (CACT) sensor electrical connector.

4. NOTE: Align the index mark for the Charge Air Cooler (CAC) outlet pipe during installation.

Remove the CAC outlet pipe.

- To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).

5. Disconnect the upper radiator hose and lower degas bottle hose from the radiator.

6. NOTE: RH shown, LH similar.

Detach the 4 radiator grille air deflector pin-type retainers and remove the RH and LH radiator grille air deflectors.

7. Remove the 2 A/C condenser bolts from the CAC and separate the A/C condenser from the CAC.
- To install, tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).

8. NOTE: RH shown, LH similar.

Lift the tabs and remove the radiator support brackets and position the radiator toward the engine.





9. Remove the 2 bolts and separate the CAC from the radiator.
- To install, tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).

10. NOTE: Make sure the bottom radiator insulators are in place when installing the radiator.

Remove the radiator.

11. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
