JA4 - Check For VPWR to ICM - Key Off



- Key Off.

- DVOM on 40 volt DC scale.

- Key On, Engine Off.

- When making voltage checks and a reference to ground is made, use either the negative battery lead or cast iron on the engine. B+ means the positive battery cable at the battery.

- When making voltage checks, a ground reading means any value within a range of zero to 1 volt. Also VPWR readings mean any value that falls within a range of B+ to 2 volts less than B+.

- Measure voltage between (+)J51 (VPWR I) and (-)J7 (B-) at breakout box.

- Is DC voltage greater than 10.5 volts?

YES -- Go to JA5. JA5 - Check CKP+ Bias at ICM - KOEO

NO -- CHECK connectors, SERVICE or REPLACE harness. VPWR to ICM is open. REMOVE all test equipment. RECONNECT all components. Clear continuous memory. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Rerun quick test. Diagnostic Subroutines (DSR) - Extracting Codes
