EVAP 8 - Check Vapor Management Valve Electrically

Vapor Management Valve Connector (3.0L Flex Fuel And 4.0L Explorer:

^ Disconnect the Canister Purge (CANP) valve.

^ Use a DVOM for ohmmeter test.

^ Measure resistance between positive and negative terminals on the CANP valve electrical connector (refer to illustration).

^ Is resistance between 30 and 36 ohms?

YES -- Go to EVAP 9. EVAP 9 - Check Vacuum at VMV Input Hose to Intake Manifold

NO -- Replace VMV Assembly.
