Normal Operation
The PATS transceiver receives voltage from central junction box (CJB) fuse 61 (7.5A) on circuit 15-GL37 (GN/BK) and is grounded on circuit 91-GL1 (BK/YE). The PATS transceiver and the powertrain control module (PCM) communicate on circuits 8-GL37 (WH/GN) and 10-GL37 (GY/OG). The PCM compares the keycode stored in memory and enables the starter if the key code is correct.

Possible Causes
- fuse
- circuit 8-GL37 (WH/GN) open or short to ground
- circuit 10-GL37 (GY/OG) open , short to voltage or short to ground
- circuit 15-GL37 (GN/BK) open or short to ground
- circuit 91-GL1 (BK/YE) open or short to voltage
- PATS transceiver
- PCM
- PATS key
