Test B: Poor Quality/Distorted/No Sound From One Or More Speakers (Not All Speakers) - Except Subwoofers

PINPOINT TEST B: POOR QUALITY/DISTORTED/NO SOUND FROM ONE OR MORE SPEAKERS (NOT ALL SPEAKERS) - EXCEPT SUBWOOFERS

Normal Operation
The audio control module (ACM) directs the audio signals to the speakers through separate positive and negative circuits for each of the audio channels. The ACM provides internal circuit protection for shorts to ground, shorts to voltage, or shorts between any output circuits.

DTC B2965 (Audio System Speaker Circuit Fault) - sets when an open, a short to ground, or a short to voltage is detected on the front door or rear door speaker circuits. The ACM checks these circuits during the self-test, and checks them every 500 milliseconds during normal operation.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Speaker
- ACM
