Pinpoint Test H: An Individual Front Display Interface Module (FDIM) Display Is Inoperative/Does Not Operate Correctly
Normal Operation
The Front Display Interface Module (FDIM) receives inputs from multiple modules, and displays that information on the screen. The inputs are in the form of messages delivered via the Medium Speed Controller Area Network (MS-CAN).
For the compass display (if equipped), this pinpoint test is intended to diagnose a concern of the compass display being blank. For any other concerns with the compass display, including the compass being inaccurate, refer to Compass.
NOTE: Any of these DTCs can be set when the vehicle experiences a low battery voltage condition, which should also set DTC B1318 in at least 1 module. The low battery voltage condition must be corrected before an accurate diagnosis of a missing message can be made. Also, if no symptoms are currently present, the DTC should be disregarded.
