Steering Column Shroud

WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure, REFER to Safety Warnings . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. Release the steering column lock lever and place the steering column in the full rearward and downward position.





2. NOTE: Turn the steering wheel 90° to access the slots.
Use a small screwdriver to separate the upper steering column shroud from the lower steering column shroud.





3. Remove the upper steering column shroud and the instrument panel gap hider in the order shown.





4. Remove the instrument panel steering column cover trim panel and the steering column cover. REFER to Instrument Panel - Exploded View .

5. Remove the 2 screws and the lower steering column shroud.
- To install, tighten to 2 Nm (18 lb-in).





6. If installing a new upper steering column shroud, separate the instrument panel gap hider from the upper steering column shroud.

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
