Rear Seat Removal/Installation

Seat Cushion

NOTE: Take care not to scratch the body or tear the seat covers.

1. Fold the rear seat-backs forward.

2. Pull back the front area of the front cargo floor covers (A), then remove the bolt(s) securing the cushion from behind the rear seat-back.






3. While pushing down on the seat cushion (A), pull the seat hook handles (B) to release the hooks (C).





4. Pull back the seat cushion to pull off the seat belt buckles (D) from the slits (E) in the seat cushion, and remove it.

5. Install the seat cushion (A) in the reverse order of removal. When installing the seat cushion, first install the seat belt buckles (B) and the center seat belt (C) into the slits (D) in the seat cushion.






Seat Side Bolster

NOTE: Take care not to scratch the body or tear the seat covers.

1. Remove the seat cushion.

2. Remove the bolt securing the seat side bolster (A).






3. Fold down the seat-back.

4. Lift up the seat side bolster (A) to release the hooks (B), then remove the seat side bolster.





5. Install the seat side bolster in the reverse order of removal.

Seat-Back

NOTE: Take care not to scratch the body or tear the seat covers.

1. Remove the seat side bolster.

2. Remove the center lower anchor bolt (A).






3. Fold down the rear seat-back.

4. From the right seat-back, release the cable holder (A), and detach the cable clip (B) fastening the remote fold down cable (C).

NOTE: The right side is shown; the left side is similar.






5. From the right seat-back, pull the remote fold down cable stopper (C) and push up the cable lock (D). Pull down the remote fold down cable cap (E), and separate joint piece A and joint piece B out through the slit (F).

NOTE: The right side is shown; the left side is similar.






6. Remove the right seat-back (A).

1. Pull back the front area of the front cargo floor cover lid (B).

2. Release the Velcro fasteners (C), and pull back the seat-back cover (D).

3. Release the hooks (E), and remove the bolts (F, G).





7. Remove the right center pivot bracket (A).

1. Remove the nut, the washer (B), and the collar (C) securing the bracket.

2. If necessary, remove the right center pivot bracket cover (D) and the bushing (E).





8. From the left seat-back, release the cable holder, and detach the cable clip fastening the remote fold down cable in the same way as the step 4 and 5.

9. Remove the left seat-back (A).

1. Pull back the front area of the front cargo floor cover lid (B).

2. Release the Velcro fastener (C), and pull back the seat-back cover (D).

3. Release the hook (E), and remove the bolts.





10. Release the pivot shaft (A) from the center pivot bracket (B), then remove the left seat-back (C).






11. If necessary, remove the bushing (A) from the pivot shaft (B) of the left seat-back (C).






12. If necessary, release the hooks (A), then remove the center pivot bracket cover (B). Remove the bolts (C, D) and the nuts (E), then remove the left pivot bracket (F), the right pivot bracket (G), and the center pivot bracket (H).






13. Install the seat-back in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Make sure there are no twists or kinks in the center seat belt before attaching the rear seat-back.
- Push the clip and the hooks into place securely.
- When interference the rear seat-back striker (A) and the seat lock (B) by rearrangement outer pivot (C). Adjusting height direction of the outer pivot before tighten in seat-back frame. It is possible for the seat-back to not fold down properly and a possibility of causing noise when traveling.
