GPS Antenna Removal and Installation
Removal
NOTE: SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations Locations and the precautions and procedures Service and Repair before doing repairs or service.
1. Driver's Dashboard Lower Cover
1. Remove the driver's dashboard lower cover (A).
2. Front Door Opening Seal as Needed
1. Remove the front door opening seal (A) as needed.
3. A-Pillar Trim Both
1. Pull out the A-pillar trim (A) to release the clips.
2. Put a shop towel (A) in the opening between the A-pillar trim (B) and the dashboard to prevent dropping the A-pillar clips.
3. Disconnect the connector (A), then remove the A-pillar trim (B).
NOTE: The upper clip (C) will stay in the body.
4. Remove the upper clip (A) from the body.
5. Repeat on the opposite side.
4. Dashboard Subdisplay Visor
1. Remove the dashboard subdisplay visor (A).
5. Dashboard Meter Visor
1. Remove the dashboard meter visor (A).
6. Multi-Information Display Unit
1. Remove the multi-information display unit (A).
2. Disconnect the connectors.
7. Center Lower Panel
1. Remove the center lower panel (A).
NOTE: Take care not to scratch the center console panel or the related parts.
8. Audio-Navigation Unit Assembly
NOTE:
* Lay a workshop towel under the parts when working on them to protect the face panel from scratches or other damage.
* Do not work in a dusty or dirty place.
* Discharge static electricity from your body before and during the work.
* Do not touch the circuit board(s) with your bare hands.
* Do not work with dirty hands.
* Do not touch the terminal connector of the flat plate cable with your bare hands (If you have touched it, wipe it off thoroughly.).
* Eject the discs before removing the audio-navigation unit to prevent damaging the CD/DVD player's load mechanism.
* If you are replacing the audio-navigation unit, write down the audio presets (if possible), then enter them into the new audio-navigation unit.
* When the audio-navigation unit is replaced or disconnected, do the Map Matching. This part of the initialization matches the GPS coordinates with a road on the map screen. To do this part of the procedure, make sure that the navigation system displays a map, and drive the vehicle on a mapped road shown on the map screen. Do not enter a destination at this time. When the name of the current road you are driving on appears at the bottom of the screen, the entire procedure is complete.
1. Remove the bolts (A).
2. Disconnect the connectors, then pull out the audio-navigation unit (A).
9. GPS Antenna
1. Remove the GPS antenna (A).
Installation

1. GPS Antenna
1. Install the GPS antenna (A).
2. Audio-Navigation Unit Assembly
1. Connect the connectors, then install the audio-navigation unit (A).
NOTE: Make sure all the connectors and the antenna lead are secure.
2. Install the bolts (A).
3. Center Lower Panel
1. Install the center lower panel (A).
NOTE: Take care not to scratch the center console panel or the related parts.
4. Multi-Information Display Unit
1. Connect the connectors.
2. Install the multi-information display unit (A).
5. Dashboard Meter Visor
1. Install the dashboard meter visor (A).
6. Dashboard Subdisplay Visor
1. Install the dashboard subdisplay visor (A).
7. A-Pillar Trim Both
1. Carefully install the new upper clip (A) to the A-pillar trim (B).
2. Connect the connector (A).
3. Fit the clips into the holes in the A-pillar.
4. Lightly push the A-pillar trim (B) into place, then install the trim.
NOTE:
* Make sure the side curtain airbag is not tucked under the clips or the trim ribs.
* Do not push too hard on the A-pillar trim. If you push too hard, the clip will be damaged, and it will not hold the trim properly.
* Gently tug on the A-pillar trim to verify that all clips are securely fastened.
5. Repeat on the opposite side.
8. Front Door Opening Seal as Needed
1. Install the front door opening seal (A).
9. Driver's Dashboard Lower Cover
1. Install the driver's dashboard lower cover (A).
