Tailgate Spoiler Trim Replacement
Special Tools Required
- KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014

NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the tailgate.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
1. Open the tailgate, and remove the tailgate middle trim .
2. Remove the bolts from inside the tailgate, and disconnect the high mount brake light connector (A).
3. Close the tailgate. Carefully pry the tailgate spoiler trim (A) with a trim tool to detach the clips (B). Detach the clip (C) while pinching it from inside the tailgate.
NOTE:
- Use a shop towel to avoid damaging the trim or the body when prying the trim with a trim tool.
- The grommets (D) will stay in the tailgate.
4. Pull out the tailgate spoiler trim (A), and remove the high mount brake light connector grommet (B) from the tailgate, then remove the trim.
5. Remove the grommets (C) remaining in the tailgate, then install the grommets to the clips on the tailgate spoiler trim.
6. If the clips and the grommets are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them as an assembly with new ones.
7. Hold up the tailgate spoiler trim, and fit the clips into the holes in the tailgate, then push on the trim until the clips snap into place securely.
8. Reconnect the high mount brake light connector, and reinstall the bolts.
9. Reinstall the tailgate middle trim .
