Dashboard Vent Removal/Installation

Special Tools Required

- KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014

Driver's Dashboard Vent

NOTE:

- Take care not to scratch the dashboard or the related parts.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.

1. Remove the driver's outer dashboard trim Driver's Outer Dashboard Trim Removal / Installation.

2. Remove the driver's dashboard side panel (A).

1. Pull out the front door opening seal (B) as needed.

2. Gently pry out the panel with the appropriate trim tool to detach the clips and to release the hooks (C).





3. Remove the screw, and pull out the driver's dashboard vent (A) to detach the clips, then remove it.





4. Install the dashboard vent in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- If the clips are damaged, replace them with new ones.
- Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.

Passenger's Dashboard Vent

NOTE:

- Take care not to scratch the dashboard or the related parts.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.

1. Remove the passenger's dashboard trim Passenger's Dashboard Trim Removal / Installation.

2. Remove the passenger's dashboard side panel (A).

1. Pull out the front door opening seal (B) as needed.

2. Gently pry out the panel with the appropriate trim tool to detach the clips and to release the hooks (C).





3. Remove the screw, and pull out the passenger's dashboard vent (A) to detach the clips, then remove it.





4. Install the dashboard vent in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- If the clips are damaged, replace them with new ones.
- Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.

Center Dashboard Vent (With Navigation)

NOTE:

- Take care not to scratch the dashboard or the related parts.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.

1. Apply the protective tapes (A) to both dashboard middle pads beside both side edges of the center dashboard vent (B). Pry up on the edge of the dashboard vent with the appropriate trim tool to detach the clips (C, D).






2. Remove the center dashboard vent (A).

1. Pull out the dashboard vent to detach the clips and to release the projections (B).

2. Disconnect the hazard warning switch/passenger's airbag cutoff indicator connector (C) and the navigation subdisplay connector (D).

3. Detach the harness clip (E), and release the wire harness (F) from the harness holder (G).





3. Install the dashboard vent in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Make sure each connector is plugged in properly.
- Push the harness clip and the clips into place securely.
