INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY

Removal and Installation


CAUTION:
- Be careful not to scratch instrument panel pad and other parts.
- Whenever a suitable tool is used, always wrap a cloth around the end of the tool to protect components from damage.
- Before servicing, turn ignition switch OFF, disconnect both battery terminals and wait at least three minutes.

REMOVAL

1.Disconnect the negative and positive battery terminals, then wait at least three minutes.





2.Remove the instrument side finishers (LH/RH) (1) using a suitable tool.
NOTE:
LH side shown; RH side similar
3.Remove the front kicking plates (LH/RH). Refer to "KICKING PLATE : Removal and Installation Front Kicking Plate" Removal and Installation - Front Kicking Plate.
4.Remove the front pillar finishers (LH/RH). Refer to "FRONT PILLAR FINISHER : Removal and Installation" Front Pillar Finisher.
5.Remove the steering wheel. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Removal and Installation.
6.Remove the combination switch. Refer to "Removal and Installation" BCM.
7.Remove the center console assembly. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Removal and Installation.
8.Remove the combination meter. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Service and Repair.
9.Remove the AV control unit. Refer to "Removal and Installation AV Control Unit" With Surround Sound (BASE
AUDIO), "Removal and Installation AV Control Unit" Without Surround Sound (BOSE AUDIO W/O SURROUND SOUND), "Removal and Installation AV Control Unit" Base Audio (BOSE AUDIO WITH SURROUND SOUND) or AV825, "Removal and Installation - AV Control Unit" (TELEMATICS SYSTEM).
10.Remove the front display unit (if equipped). Refer to "Removal and Installation" Base Audio (BASE AUDIO), "Removal and Installation" Without Surround Sound (BOSE AUDIO W/O SURROUND SOUND),

Installation" (BOSE AUDIO WITH SURROUND SOUND).
11.Remove the glove box assembly. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Service and Repair.
12.Disconnect the harness connector from the front passenger air bag module.
13.Remove the instrument panel tweeter grilles (LH/RH/) and center speaker grille.

14.Remove the instrument panel bolt (A) from the instrument panel tweeter grille RH area.
15.Disconnect the harness connector from the center speaker.
16.Disconnect the antenna cable.
17.Remove the instrument panel assembly.

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
- If replacing the instrument panel, transfer all the necessary parts to the new instrument panel.
