DTC DETECTION LOGIC

NOTE:
If DTC P2122 or P2123 is displayed with DTC P3157, first perform the trouble diagnosis for DTC P3157. P3157.






DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE


1. PRECONDITIONING

If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds before conducting the next test.
TESTING CONDITION:

Before performing the following procedure, confirm that battery voltage is 8 V or more at idle.
- GO TO 2.

2. DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

1.Turn ignition switch ON and wait at least 1 seconds.
2.Check DTC.
Is DTC detected?
YES- Proceed to .
NO- INSPECTION END


Diagnosis Procedure


1. CHECK APP SENSOR 1 POWER SUPPLY-1

1.Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.Disconnect accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor harness connector.
3.Turn ignition switch ON.
4.Check the voltage between APP sensor harness connector terminals.
Without ICC





With ICC





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 6.
NO- GO TO 2.

2. CHECK APP SENSOR 1 POWER SUPPLY-2

Check the voltage between APP sensor harness connector and ground.
Without ICC





With ICC





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 4.
NO- GO TO 3.

3. CHECK APP SENSOR 1 POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

1.Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.Disconnect HPCM harness connector.
3.Check the continuity between APP sensor harness connector and HPCM harness connector.
Without ICC





With ICC





4.Also check harness for short to ground and short to power.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Perform trouble diagnosis for power supply circuit.
NO- Repair or replace error-detected parts.

4. CHECK APP SENSOR 1 GROUND CIRCUIT

1.Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.Disconnect HPCM harness connector.
3.Check the continuity between APP sensor harness connector and HPCM harness connector.
Without ICC





With ICC





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 5.
NO- Repair or replace error-detected parts.

5. CHECK HPCM GROUND CIRCUIT

Check the continuity between HPCM harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Perform Intermittent Incident.
NO- Repair or replace error-detected parts.

6. CHECK APP SENSOR 1 SIGNAL CIRCUIT

1.Check the continuity between APP sensor harness connector and HPCM harness connector.
Without ICC





With ICC





2.Also check harness for short to ground and short to power.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 7.
NO- Repair or replace error-detected parts.

7. CHECK APP SENSOR 1

Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Perform Intermittent Incident.
NO- Replace accelerator pedal. Without Distance Control Assist System (without distance control assist system) or With Distance Control Assist System (with distance control assist system).


Component Inspection (Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor)


1. CHECK ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION (APP) SENSOR

With CONSULT
1.Select "ACCEL SENSOR 1 VOLTAGE", "APP SENSOR 1""ACCEL SENSOR 2 VOLTAGE" and "APP
SENSOR 2" in "DATA MONITOR" mode of "EV/HEV" using CONSULT.
2.Check that monitor indication as per the following condition.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES- INSPECTION END
NO- Replace accelerator pedal. Without Distance Control Assist System (without distance control assist system) or With Distance Control Assist System (with distance control assist system).
