Knock background noise high, bank A (Driving Cycle B)

Possible causes by suggested order of priority:
- Connectors C1017, C1023.
- Circuit integrity C1017/12 (Y) - C1023/2 (Y).
- Circuit integrity C1017/10 (RB) - C1023/1 (W).
- Knock sensor.
- Ignition system.
- ECM.

Connectors C1017, C1023.
- Check for connector not correctly latched, backed out pins, damaged pins, corroded pins

Circuit integrity C1017/12 (Y) - C1023/2 (Y).
- Check for open circuit, short circuit to ground, supply or other circuit, damaged or unlatched connector, intermediate connectors or headers

Circuit integrity C1017/10 (RB) - C1023/1 (W).
- Check for open circuit, short circuit to ground, supply or other circuit, damaged or unlatched connector, intermediate connectors or headers

Knock sensor.
- Sensor is tightly fitted to the engine block.
- There is nothing rubbing on the sensor (eg hoses).
- The spark plugs are in good condition.

Ignition system.
- Sensor is tightly fitted to the engine block.
- There is nothing rubbing on the sensor (eg hoses).
- The spark plugs are in good condition.

ECM.
- No detail available for this fault
