DTC P0443
Purge valve circuit open or short circuit (Driving Cycle C)

Possible causes by suggested order of priority:
- Connectors C1032, C144.
- Circuit integrity C1032/19 (SY) - C144/1 (SY).
- Circuit integrity C1029/3 (NO) - C144/2 (NO).
- Purge valve supply from C1029/3 (NO).
- Purge valve.
- ECM.

Connectors C1032, C144.
- Check for connector not correctly latched, backed out pins, damaged pins, corroded pins

Circuit integrity C1032/19 (SY) - C144/1 (SY).
- Check for open circuit, short circuit to ground, supply or other circuit, damaged or unlatched connector, intermediate connectors or headers

Circuit integrity C1029/3 (NO) - C144/2 (NO).
- Check for open circuit, short circuit to ground, supply or other circuit, damaged or unlatched connector, intermediate connectors or headers

Purge valve supply from C1029/3 (NO).
- Check voltage 10.0 to 14.0 volts

Purge valve.
- With ignition ON (position 2) and the purge valve connected electrically to the vehicle, disconnect both ends of the purge valve assembly from the vehicle and check if air can be blown through the purge valve using suitable equipment.
- If so, this indicates that the purge valve is stuck open and thus defective.

ECM.
