P0452
DTC P0452
Fuel tank Pressure Sensor low range fault. (Driving Cycle C)
Possible causes by suggested order of priority:
- Connectors C1017, C1033, C484.
- Circuit integrity C1017/30 (GK) - C484/1 (GK).
- Circuit integrity C1033/4 (R) - C484/3 (R).
- Circuit integrity C484/2 (B) - ground.
- Fuel tank pressure sensor.
- ECM.
Connectors C1017, C1033, C484.
- Check for connector not correctly latched, backed out pins, damaged pins, corroded pins
Circuit integrity C1017/30 (GK) - C484/1 (GK).
- Check for open circuit, short circuit to ground, supply or other circuit, damaged or unlatched connector, intermediate connectors or headers
Circuit integrity C1033/4 (R) - C484/3 (R).
- Check for open circuit, short circuit to ground, supply or other circuit, damaged or unlatched connector, intermediate connectors or headers
Circuit integrity C484/2 (B) - ground.
- Check for open circuit, short circuit to ground, supply or other circuit, damaged or unlatched connector, intermediate connectors or headers
Fuel tank pressure sensor.
- If TestBook available, it can be used to display the fuel tank pressure as seen by the ECM.
- The force enables the Purge canister closure valve to be opened or closed as required.
- Use the EVAP diagnostic station to measure and diagnose faults in the evaporative emission system as required.
PASS VALUES:
- The fuel pressure should normally read between -5 and 3 KPa.
- With the fuel filler cap removed, the sensor should display a reading equivalent to atmospheric pressure: ± 0.2 KPa.
