Low idle speed (Driving Cycle A)
Possible causes by suggested order of priority:
- Connectors C1032, C132.
- Circuit integrity C1032/35 (OR) - C132/A (OR).
- Circuit integrity C1032/15 (US) - C132/D (US).
- Circuit integrity C1032/16 (RG) - C132/B (RG).
- Circuit integrity C1032/34 (GW) - C132/C (GW).
- Stepper motor.
- ECM.
Connectors C1032, C132.
- Check for connector not correctly latched, backed out pins, damaged pins, corroded pins
Circuit integrity C1032/35 (OR) - C132/A (OR).
- Check for open circuit, short circuit to ground, supply or other circuit, damaged or unlatched connector, intermediate connectors or headers
Circuit integrity C1032/15 (US) - C132/D (US).
- Check for open circuit, short circuit to ground, supply or other circuit, damaged or unlatched connector, intermediate connectors or headers
Circuit integrity C1032/16 (RG) - C132/B (RG).
- Check for open circuit, short circuit to ground, supply or other circuit, damaged or unlatched connector, intermediate connectors or headers
Circuit integrity C1032/34 (GW) - C132/C (GW).
- Check for open circuit, short circuit to ground, supply or other circuit, damaged or unlatched connector, intermediate connectors or headers
Stepper motor.
- Stepper motor coil resistances.
- Coil AD between pins A and D of stepper motor connector C132.
- Coil BC between pins B and C of stepper motor connector C132.
PASS VALUES: 40 to 60 Ohms for each coil.
ECM.
