Neutral drive switch fault - indicates neutral during high load (Driving Cycle B)

Possible causes by suggested order of priority:
- Connectors C1017, C323.
- Circuit integrity C1017/18 (BO) - C323/5 (BO).
- Circuit integrity C323/4 (B) - ground.
- Neutral-drive switch.
- ECM.

Connectors C1017, C323.
- Check for connector not correctly latched, backed out pins, damaged pins, corroded pins

Circuit integrity C1017/18 (BO) - C323/5 (BO).
- Check for open circuit, short circuit to ground, supply or other circuit, damaged or unlatched connector, intermediate connectors or headers

Circuit integrity C323/4 (B) - ground.
- Check for open circuit, short circuit to ground, supply or other circuit, damaged or unlatched connector, intermediate connectors or headers

Neutral-drive switch.
- With the neutral-drive switch disconnected, measure the resistance between pins 4 and 5 in each gear position.
- You should see a short circuit condition when in Park or Neutral and an open circuit condition in all other gear positions.
PASS VALUES:
0 to 5 Ohms for short circuit.
Over 5 Ohms for open circuit.

ECM.
