Main Control Valve Body
This is a "Trustmark Authoring Standards (TAS) Repair Procedure"
- TAS style procedures can be identified by steps that have no accompanying step text and the magenta color of the electrical connectors and fasteners such as nuts, bolts, clamps or clips.
- TAS removal and installation procedures use a sequence of color illustrations to indicate the order to be followed when removing/disassembling or installing/assembling a component.
- Many of the TAS procedures will have the installation information within the removal steps.
- The TAS color illustrations use a variety of symbols to indicate important details of the procedures. It is important to understand these symbols in order to properly used the TAS procedures.

Removal
1 Remove the cover and disconnect the battery ground cable.

WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.
2 Raise and support the vehicle.
3 Remove the oil pan.

4 Remove the oil temperature sensor.
CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the wiring harnesses.
CAUTION: Note the fitted position of the component prior to removal.
5 Release the transmission wiring harness.
6 Remove the suction cover and discard the gasket.
CAUTION: Note the fitted position of the component prior to removal.
CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the wiring harnesses.
Installation
NOTE:
Make sure that this component is installed to the noted removal position.
1 Install the valve body, do not tighten at this stage.
2 Install the suction cover and new gasket, do not tighten at this stage.
3 Tighten the bolts in the sequence illustrated.
Torque to: 10 Nm
CAUTION: Make sure that the wiring harnesses are correctly located.
4 Position and connect the wiring harness.
CAUTION: A new O-ring seal is to be installed.
NOTE:
Lubricate the new O ring seal with transmission fluid.
5 Install the oil temperature sensor.
Torque to: 10 Nm
6 Install the oil pan.

7 Connect the battery ground cable and install the cover.
