Trunk / Liftgate Lock: Testing and Inspection









DOOR LOCK: BACK DOOR LOCK: INSPECTION


1. INSPECT BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY





(a) Set the back door lock to the full-latch position.
(b) Apply battery voltage to the door motor connector and check the operation of the door lock motor.
OK:





- If the result is not as specified, replace the back door lock assembly.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:





- If the result is not as specified, replace the back door lock assembly.

2. INSPECT BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/ Power Back Door)






(a) Inspect the closer motor operation.
(1) Set the back door lock assembly to the full-latch position.
(2) Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the door lock motor.
OK:





- If the result is not as specified, replace the back door lock assembly.
(3) Set the back door lock assembly to the half-latch position.
(4) Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the door lock motor.
OK:





- If the result is not as specified, replace the back door lock assembly.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:





Closer Position Switch:






Back Door Courtesy Switch:





If the result is not as specified, replace the back door lock assembly.
