DTC B1451/51 - Compressor Solenoid Circuit

DESCRIPTION

In this circuit, the compressor receives a refrigerant compression demand signal from the air conditioning amplifier.
Based on this signal, the compressor changes the amount of compressor output.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH (A/C COMPRESSOR SOLENOID)





(a) Remove the compressor and magnetic clutch (A/C compressor solenoid).
(b) Disconnect the connector from the compressor and magnetic clutch.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH (A/C COMPRESSOR SOLENOID)
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (A/C AMPLIFIER - COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH)





(a) Disconnect the connector from the A/C amplifier.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






Result:






C -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER
B -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
A -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
