INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. RECONFIRM DTC
(a) Check if other DTCs are recorded .
Result:

B -- REPAIR CIRCUITS INDICATED BY OUTPUT DTCS
A -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT BRAKE PEDAL SUB-ASSEMBLY
NOTE: Do not disassemble the brake pedal sub-assembly.
HINT: Replace the brake pedal sub-assembly when there is a malfunction in the brake pedal load sensing switch.
(a) Disconnect the brake pedal load sensing switch connector.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:

NG -- REPLACE BRAKE PEDAL SUB-ASSEMBLY (BRAKE PEDAL LOAD SENSING SWITCH)
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - BRAKE PEDAL LOAD SENSING SWITCH)
(a) Disconnect the skid control ECU connector and the brake pedal load sensing switch connector.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - BRAKE PEDAL LOAD SENSING SWITCH)
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BRAKE PEDAL LOAD SENSING SWITCH - BODY GROUND)

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:

(b) Connect the brake pedal load sensing switch connector.
(c) Connect the skid control ECU connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (BRAKE PEDAL LOAD SENSING SWITCH - BODY GROUND)
OK -- REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
