INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER
(a) Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position and press the intelligent tester main switch ON.
(c) Select the items below in the DATA LIST, and read the displays on the intelligent tester.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU - AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR)
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU - AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR)





(a) Disconnect the automatic light control sensor connector and multiplex network body ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
OK -- REPLACE AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR
