INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTE: If DTC B1473/73 and B1498/98 (inverter local communication problem) are output simultaneously, perform inspection for B1498/98 first by following the flow chart.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE
(a) Check if DTCs for the hybrid control system are output using the Techstream.
Result:

B -- GO TO HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM
A -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - W/MOTOR COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY)

(a) Disconnect the connector from hybrid vehicle control ECU and w/ motor compressor assembly.
CAUTION: Do not disconnect the connector on the high-voltage side.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT W/MOTOR COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Reconnect the connector to the w/ motor compressor assembly.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Voltage:

NG -- REPLACE W/MOTOR COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. INSPECT HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU

(a) Reconnect the connector to the hybrid vehicle control ECU.
(b) Turn the ignition switch ON.
(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Voltage:

NG -- REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
OK -- REPLACE W/MOTOR COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY
